Isle of Wight flower farmer and florist - sustainable local flowers grown not flown

Hi, I’m Claire owner of Carisbrooke Flower Farm, centrally located in the village of Carisbrooke on the outskirts of Newport on the Isle of Wight.

Sustainability is at the forefront of the farm growing ethos, using organic & no-dig principles, no pesticides or chemicals to produce beautiful locally grown seasonal island blooms. Our flowers are at the mercy of Mother Nature, although in the 2024 season, I added a polytunnel to my growing field which has lengthened the growing season.

I am passionate about nature, the environment, soil health & reducing the carbon footprint of flowers, which is why our flowers are grown and not flown!

The Flower Season

Flowers are available directly from the farm from 1st April through to the end of October.

Mother Nature permitting there may be extensions to the season at either end. Keep an eye on our social media accounts for regular updates on what is available.

Buying Flowers

Flowers & floristry are available direct from the farm for:

  • Weddings

  • Farewell flowers

  • Events

  • Corporate displays

  • Bouquets

Flowers & foliage are also available to buy wholesale or in bulk for florists or individuals for DIY Weddings & Events. Please contact Claire who can advise you on what is in season & available.

Bouquets can be ordered throughout the season for all your special events. Check social media for the return of Friday flowers, and treat yourself or a loved one. Please place orders at least 3 days in advance to allow for picking, conditioning & wrapping.

Sustainable Flower Farming

Here on the farm, we grow with the environment & nature at the forefront of producing beautiful blooms.

By using natural composting to recycle plant material, ‘no dig’ & organic methods, mother nature & the sunny, warm conditions here on the Island we aim to produce a quality product that is chemical-free with a reduced carbon footprint as possible for the island residents.

We’re passionate about soil health & the diversity of insect & plant life. We also have the support of a local cycle shop that provides cardboard & the local horse & farm community where we source well-rotted manure.

We aim to continue to reduce the use of plastics, by soil blocking & collecting seed in the future.

Carisbrooke Flower Farm Bees

Here on the farm there are four bee hives. 2025 will be the start of the fourth year of keeping bees in the flower field. With the countryside just beyond the farm boundary the bees have an effect on the diversity of animal, bird & insect visitors not just on the farm but in the local area too. We have worked hard to restock local hedge rows with whips & will continue to increase the wide range of plants growing on the farm to cater for all our visitors, human and non-human.
